Named in honor of Bonny Prince Charlie, this opulent sporran design was considered the height of Highland Dress fashion for many years and was in wide use from the mid-19th century all the way up to the 1970s. We are honored to bring it back! The design was based on various military sporrans such as the famous "Swinging Six" design. Historic examples include one owned by General Duncan Campbell of Lochnell (29 June 1763 – 9 April 1837).
A lush musquash pelt covers the entire front of the bag and flap. Offering a feel of luxury as well as a perfect setting for the dynamic pierced pewter flap plate.
Six bells gracefully swing from the face of the sporran. As with our other designs, this beautiful sporran is also practical. Hand-crafted in Scotland from top-grain leather, it will last a lifetime.
The waist measurement needed is the actual waist measurement, not your pants size. Typically, your pants will be 2 to 4 inches smaller than your actual measured waist.
