According to the STS, this tartan is "Rarely if ever seen and is taken from the manuscript of the work of Andrew and William Smith of Mauchline entitled 'Authenticated Tartans of the Clans and Families of Scotland', 1850."
However, there is NO record of this tartan in the book mentioned above. Perhaps it didn't make it from the manuscript into the book itself. Jamie Scarlett MBE states that it comes from the Baronage of Angus & Mearns.
