Wilson's of Bannockburn, a weaving firm founded c1770 near Stirling, produced this pattern in a variety of colours. Wilson called the pattern No.64 or 'Abercrombie'. This seems to be the tartan pattern which was "lost" resulting in the creation of the standard MacCallum sett commented upon by D W Stewart. A sample was later recovered, however, and now both tartans are used by clan members.
